About Edge Of Time Border Collies

Missy Abbott while living in Vermont began Edge of Time Border Collies back in 2001. The name of the kennel came about when Doug and Missy were on their honeymoon where they purchased a Peter Lik photograph of the Grand Canyon titled “Edge of Time”.  She was raised on a horse, cattle and sheep farm where her parents used Border Collies for herding. It was there where her passion and love for this breed was born. For over 20 years she and her family have dedicated their lives to breeding healthy, intelligent, driven and loving Border Collies. If you’ve spent any time at all talking with Missy you know how special her dogs are to her and you would quickly learn how important you, the customer are to her as well. She built an amazing line of dogs but also built a family, the EOT Family

I want to personally thank all our amazing EOT families for making my vision a reality and providing our pups with outstanding homes! I've worked very hard to breed only the best dogs since 2001. Your many reviews and calls have truly been a testimony to my program. I have decided to take a break from breeding and focus more on our furniture business, young children, and grandchildren. Lanny has already exceeded my expectations and I know Y'all will be in good hands!

Lanny Gunter and his family began to carry on the Edge of Time Border Collies program based out of Camden, SC in 2025. He is both honored and humbled at the opportunity as it has been a lifelong dream of his to work with and raise dogs. Lanny is an entrepreneur, a veteran, a quail hunting guide and dog trainer. It is his goal to continue the level of excellence that you have experienced as part of the EOT Family. Lanny was drawn to the Border Collie's energy, drive and toughness. He says "Their Never Quit attitude is something that I can relate to. I look forward to breeding, training and hopefully competing with the best dogs you have ever owned. I hope to get to know and grow the EOT Family, if you are not apart of it why not?"
